French Connection was founded in 1972 by Stephen Marks, who set out to create well-designed, quality clothing that appeals to an extensive audience.
In the spring of ’97, an ad campaign featuring the simple line ‘fcuk fashion’ hit the headlines and instantly became a universally recognized fashion moment. This inspired the creation of our sub-brand, FCUK, which continues to push boundaries globally.
In more recent years, French Connection has continued to prevail as a premium high street brand. Having established a strong clothing business through our unique designs and true sense of style, we’ve now expanded our portfolio to handbags, sunglasses, watches and footwear, as well as a growing, yet already successful range of homeware and furniture.
